The data set under this DOI contains the raw and processed data from the ninth deployment of the LOCO2 mooring (LOCO2_9) in the central Irminger Sea

MOORING DEPLOYMENT INFORMATION
===============================================

Location: 59 degrees 12.21 minutes North, 39 degrees 30.32 minutes West.
Deployment: 29 July 2011 by RV Pelagia (cruisenumber 64PE342).
Recovery:  1 August 2012 by RV Pelagia (cruisenumber 64PE385).

LOCO2_9_Mooring_Diagram.xls details which instrument was located where in the mooring.
Note that the depths indicated in the diagram are the design depths based on the expected bottom depth.
Final depths may deviate from the design depths, refer to instrument pressure for accurate depths.

Comments: 
- While subsequent LOCO2 deployments had a SBE37/microcat fitted at the top of the mooring, this was not yet the case for LOCO2_9.
- The MMP profiler was programmed to profile once per day as regular for LOCO2, but for unknown reasons this was not excecuted correctly. 
Instead it profiled several times per day, and skipped other days (missing profile numbers).

Accoustic Doppled Current Profilers (ADCPs)

ADCP data is corrected for magnetic declination at the location and time of deployment.
The applied declination correction is saved in variable adcp.sensor.magvar.

Data are despiked, salinity and potential temperature and density (rel. to surface) are derived.

McLane Moored Profiler (MMP)

MMP CTD data in _final.zip are despiked, salinity and potential temperature and density (rel. to surface) are derived and data is converted into 1 dbar bin averaged profiles.
In _ctd_corrected_final additional quality control steps have been applied. Calibration to shipboard CTD before/after deployment (if available) and bad data has been replaced by NaNs.
