Photo SI9a and SI9b were both taken on the Ketenisse mudflat (Schelde estuary, Belgium), around 51°17'6.19”N 4°18'45.01”E, roughly facing north-north-east (towards the main estuarine channel).

Photo SI9a dates from 15 June 2017 and was taken by Roeland C. van de Vijsel.

Photo SI9b dates from 8 February 2018 and was taken and kindly provided by Jeroen van Dalen.

The file “FigureSI9.pptx” combines the two photos into one figure.
